When I’m shopping for a cocktail dress, I always have this sense of anxiety. Not because I’m picking out a dress to wear, but because cocktail attire can be such a broad interpretation and I’m always scared of over dressing. Some people dress up for cocktail attire, some people don’t. So when I finally make that decision of what dress I’m going wear, it never fails that as we are pulling up the venue, I get that anxiety and keep saying, “am I overdressed?”, “is this too much?”, “I feel like I’m too dressed up.” But quite honestly, once I get in to the venue, everything is fine.
