The Best Organizers For Your Nursery March 27, 2023
Organizing any room can seem like an overwhelming task, and a nursery is no different. BUT, if you have a game plan going into it and have all the right tools, it won’t be so bad. When we were thinking and planning how Jack’s room needed to be done, we knew one thing – it had be simple + easy.
For easy – we didn’t want it too complicated to where KP couldn’t find something or to make folding clothes a daunting task. I already loathe folding our clothes & drawers just never stay neat. To make this an easy task for us, we choice to hang all of his clothes and not put any in his dresser, including his onesies/sleepwear. We use his dresser to store everything else, as follows:
1/ supplies – hair brush, pacifiers, Fridababy products, thermometer, etc.
2/ diapers & wipes to use when changing
3/ various swaddles from when he was a baby
4/ bibs & burp clothes
5/ miscellaneous things we have & don’t use or he’s out grown + muslin blankets
6/ baby wipe back stock (diaper back stock is at the top of his closet)
These are the bins we use to organize his drawers:
Now for his closet. To make the most use of his closet space, we purchased this shelf + cute bins and put it in front the hanging bar. These bins are great because it’s so easy to grab + go. In these, we store:
1/ socks
2/ hats, beanies, etc.
3/ swim + shorts
4/ crib sheets
I really wanted all his hanging clothes to be seamless + uniform. I got these acrylic size hangers to orangize his clothes by size. I also LOVE our acrylic baby/kids hangers paired with these white hangers for bottoms. These help create that seamless look. Plus, these hangers are slim and not bulky, so you can fit more. All of his onesies that fit him are all together on the right side so they are easy for KP to just grab one – especially since he’s a dad, they don’t keep up with sizing to know which section to grab from. Remember, I said we were going for EASY and this system does that for us. ha!
At the top of his closet, we store his diaper back stock, and we have this large basket filled with things and toys he’s out grown or doesn’t use. We also use these acrylic stacking bins to store things we seldom use but because they are stacking bins, it takes up minimal space but is easy to grab when needed.
I’ve talked about this in previous blog posts, but we have this AMAZINGLY large bin (that is worth every. single. penny.) in his room that we use to store all his blankets & stuffed animals.
