How To Make The Best Wild Berry Protein Smoothie January 19, 2022
Smoothies are such an easy way to get all your healthy nutrients in. From all the good vitamins, to getting your daily dose of fruit.
Since being pregnant, there’s one thing I’ve learned – I have to make my food choices on a day to day basis. One week I might be craving breakfast casserole, and the next I’m not even able to think about eating it. Some days I’m able to eat plenty of fruit and healthy foods, then the next, all I keep down is unhealthy food. Adding smoothies in have been a great way to still get all my necessary nutrients in.
To help get extra vitamins & protein in, I started using this protein powder. It’s a prenatal protein powder that has all the extra nutrients needed for me and baby. It blends perfectly in a smoothie! Of course if you aren’t pregnant, you can use any protein powder you want, or don’t add a protein powder at all. You can simply keep this smoothie as a fruit smoothie, or you can chia seeds, Greek yogurt, or almond nut butter for a source of protein. I do this sometimes! That’s the beauty of smoothies, you can completely tailor them to fit your needs & likes. Add what you want, remove what you don’t.
Wild berry Smoothie Recipe
1 cup of Orange Juice (I use Trop50 that has 50% less sugar)
1 cup or so of Triple Berry Blend Frozen Fruit
1 cup or so of Strawberry Frozen Fruit
Vanilla Greek Yogurt (for thickness + protein)
1 scoop of protein powder
**notes: you can also use almond milk instead of OJ. You can also add honey for a natural sweetener.
You can use this link for $15 of you first purchase on anything Ritual. I also use their prenatal vitamins & took their multivitamin before I was pregnant.
