Happy Friday, my lovely babes! Yesterday on my Insta stories I shared five trendy items for fall and how I styled each of them in only three outfits. Today, I am sharing a recap of what I shared. As new seasons come and go, so do new trends. But I’m here to tell you that there are some trends, that are just here to stay year after year and these are that. One thing that I love about all five of these, is that they are MUST HAVE closet staples. All five of them can be worn in multiple seasons (not just fall) and will become your go-to pieces.

Trend #1 // Chunky sweaters – I LOVE a good chunky sweater. Not only are they just super cozy, but they can be styled so many ways. Chunky sweaters are also a great transition piece. A few ways to wear them:

– on a cool night with shorts and booties and during the day with sneakers
– with a midi skirt and sneakers
– with jeans and booties
– layer over a dress
– they look so chic paired with a wide brim hat
– oversized with leggings and tall boots

This chunky sweater is one of my favorite finds so far for this season. It’s a heavier sweater so I’m honestly shocked it’s not more expensive than it is, it’s a great price. Trend #2 // Faux Leather Jacket – I’ve never bought a faux leather jacket in the past, so this year I pulled the trigger. AND YA’LL! Boy have I been missing out all this time. I am so obsessed with this jacket and I can’t wait for it to be cooler and I can wear this non. stop. I personally love wearing it draped over my shoulders, but again, once it gets colder I’ll actually wear it like it’s meant to be worn. In the words of one of my sisters “jackets have arms for a reason, Katie”. Well, I feel chic wearing it over my shoulders so you do you boo. ha! A faux leather jacket is definitely a staple you need in your closet. This one is very high quality, very comfortable, and for a great price (under $100). It also comes in a stunning brown shade.

Trend #3 // White Sneakers – OMG I am SO happy that I bought these sneakers. I wore them all around Nashville and my feet never hurt. I love how chic these sneakers are. These are so sleek, have a fun platform, & have a black tab on that back that adds just the right amount of color on them – it gives them a little bit of edgy-ness. The level of comfort is literally out of this world – I would compare it to walking on foam. So comfy & I ordered my true size. They were a little tighter around my toe area, but I think that’s because the inside is like a leather-ish material, but it will stretch after a few wears.

Trend #4 // Graphic sweatshirts – these are an absolute MUST for our upcoming seasons. You can wear them with leggings, jeans, shorts, skirts, you name it! I am a HUGE fan of graphic sweatshirts. See this blog post here that I recently did about affordable graphic sweatshirts!

Trend #5 // Faux leather leggings – these speak for themselves. These are a staple year after year. They are perfect for throwing up and wearing a cute or a laid back look for either day or night. Of course Spanx are the best & most loved, but they also have the nice pricepoint. Are they worth it? 100%. They will never go out of style and will last you forever.
