5 Budget Friendly Ways To Up Your Guest Bathroom April 22, 2020
For the longest time, I totally ignored my guest bathroom. We didn’t have guests over much so I just didn’t really make that space a priority. Plus, I was also more focused on getting other areas of our house done first. I finally got tired of looking at an awfully plain and un-done bathroom, but didn’t want to spend too much money. At the same time, I wanted it to be pretty & nice for when we do have guests. Here are a few ways that I decorated my guest bathroom – but budget friendly.
One // Add a fun bath mat. They make so many cute and funny bathmats these days. Adding a bath mat can give your bathroom that extra layer of comfort to your bathroom just like a rug does in your living area or bedroom.
Two // Add pretty art. Art can literally make a space, but it can also break the bank. What I like to do to add art to a space, is to either paint something on my own and buy a frame for it (I painted & framed the black circle painting) OR buy a small art print & then a large frame for it (what I did next above the counter). By doing this, it makes the art look expensive & takes up elegant space on your wall.
Three // Add Accessories. By doing this, it helps to add layers of a homey feel to the space. A few ways I did this:
– Faux Orchid on the counter top
– Coffee table book on the back of the toilet with a candle on top
– Candle on the counter
– Apothecary jars filled with q-tips & cotton balls
– Towels on the towel bar (def not for use)
Four // Add a personal touch. Of course, a personal touch is how you decorate, but for this I added fun monogrammed towels onto the towel rack. This gave the rack some depth & layers to it.
Five // Add something for your guests. Do you subscribe to any beauty subscription services like Sephora Play boxes, Ipsy, or Birchbox? I do and sometimes I get the same products I already have, products I’ve already tried, or I just end up not getting around to trying any. They always have such great products in them, so I figured, why not put them in a drawer for guests to use? To me, this is such a fun touch. So if a guest forgets a type of product or wants to try something, they are more than welcome to help themselves to the stash (I def have a ton more to replenish with). I currently have a ton of sample shampoo/conditioners, hair products, & makeup products in the drawer. Plus, I also like to get keep other necessities in the drawer in case anyone needs them. I stored these in acrylic organizer trays. Using acrylic trays to organize is one of my favorite ways – it keeps everything looking clean { & pretty}.
